Bowenwork is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that supports the whole body and re-educates the dysfunctional muscular and postural tension patterns in the body. Stimulating the body’s ability to heal itself, the practitioner uses minimal intervention. It can be done on skin or through clothing. You will learn a comprehensive health system that will enable you to aid the recovery from a large range of internal and musculo-skeletal conditions. You will learn procedures that balance the body as well as address specific areas of the body. Module 1 covers the Bowenwork move, lower back, upper back, neck, kidney, and head procedures.
In Module 2, you will learn hamstring, shoulder, respiratory and cramp procedures. In this class there will be demonstrations of each procedure, detailed explanations of anatomical landmarks, instruction in the procedures and indications for use, extensive supervised hands-on practice and feedback from the instructor. This is the first two Modules in a series of 7 Modules. All Bowenwork students must complete Modules 1-7 in order to become a certified Bowenwork Practitioner.
